Neighbourhood Plan Groups - grant applications should open after Easter

The Government's Chief Planning Officer has made clear that work on Local and Neighbourhood Plan's should continue under the present circumstances as far as possible.

**Important information for grant and technical support for the new financial year (2020/2021)**

We anticipate opening the neighbourhood planning support programme for applications for grant and technical support on Monday 20 April 2020. Please continue to monitor the website https://neighbourhoodplanning.org/ for further information in due course.

Better late than never

Glad to see the Neighbourhood Plan grants have been re-opened for this year - a late start (the grants usually open early April - but I'm guessing there were other political distractions) but perhaps making up for the delay with a welcome addition of additional £10K grant funding option to help bring forward affordable homes for sale.

New Locality Neighbourhood Planning Grants

A couple of key points to note :
  • Maximum grant is now £8,000 (or higher for parish clusters, neighbourhood forums or neighbourhood development orders)
  • The money must be spend within 6 months or before the end of the current financial year, whichever is the earliest.
  • Minimum grant is £1,000
  • You cannot apply for work already done.
